Sometimes life is so busy, the last thing you think of is training your dog. There always seems like something is going on like school starting,Thanksgiving, Birthdays and more. Next time you go on vacation, bring your dog to our home away from home training program. There are many options availalbe.
Many owners find housetraining dreading, why not send your dog away to be housetrained? Take the pain and stress out of your life with dealing with the mistakes that happen.
There are two main options. There is the vacation care at Best Friends Pet Care which is the one or two week option. Then there is the month long training at Guardian Angel's FPP. This training helps to solidify the commands that are being taught, as well as giving consistency to the dog and helping the dog to understand what is going on.
In all of these classes, they are custom to what you need. If you would like problem behaviors such as jumping or barking, then all of these options are available to you.
If you choose to board at Guardian Angel's FPP, then your dog will live with us in our house. That way we are able to see what the main problems are and fix them. Many of the problems are because of lack of leadership, lack of understanding, or just the fact the dog truely doesn't know what you want.
The absolute commands are those that your dog will know 100% of the time. Those commands are sit, down, stay, come, and loose leash walking. All of these commands can prevent problem behaviors, because if the dog is sitting or lying down, he can not be jumping up. If he is staying in position, he cannot chase the squirrel.
In solving the problems that are occuring, we use the most gentle, and effective way of eliminating them. Our method does take a little longer, although since we use positive motiviation the elimination process is most likely not to come back again.

We will not use any adversive training techniques, we will use positive reinforcement with gentle reminders of what they are suppose to be doing. We use consistency, patience, and love with all of our training. We train in a quiet environment, we do not train with loud distractions, other dogs, cats, and anything else that occurs in the "human" world.
We will train new puppies, as well as adult dogs that need refresher lessons. We will train the commmands that you will use, not to ones you will not.
There is a two week minimum (at Guardian Angel' FPP) at a resonable cost, up to 8 weeks. We will feed, water, play, love, walk, and train.
