All of our dogs live in our house, sleeping on our beds, keeping warm by the fire. We are very proud to say that we do NOT have any of our dogs live in kennels. All of our puppies that are produced are socialized with cats, children, and many new situations. We are proud to say that our puppies are mostly trained by the age of 10 weeks when they go to their new homes. Due to the fact that we do a lot of training, puppies at 8 weeks are in the middle of their delicate Fear period, where they do not bounce back easily from anything scarry that happens to them.
We allow our mother's to actually mother their dogs, we insist on natural breedings, natural births, and allowing the mother to care for the young. It is so important to have a mother careing for the young because it helps make more social, temperamently stable dogs.
All of our breeding dogs are tested for OFA Hips, elbows, patellas, cardiac, cystiurea. We breed towards the standard. Yes we do show our dogs, although that does not influence our thoughts on the breeding stock, becauase it is only one person's opinion. All of our breeding stock is temerament tested, health tested and trained in, obedience, rally and agility too.
